Description
The CD4066 is a quad bilateral switch from the 40xx series CMOS logic family. This device contains four independent bidirectional switches, each capable of passing signals in either direction under logic control. Each switch is implemented as a CMOS transmission gate with independent enable input, providing a complete analog or digital switching solution in a single package.
The CD4066 is a major improvement over earlier switch devices, offering much lower on-resistance and improved linearity. These switches can handle both analog and digital signals across a wide voltage range. Typical applications include signal routing, audio switching, gain control circuits, and general-purpose analog switching in instrumentation and communication systems.
