Description
The CD4067 is a 16-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer from the 40xx series CMOS logic family. This device routes a common input/output (Z) to one of 16 independent input/output pins (I0-I15), controlled by a 4-bit binary address. The channel selected is determined by the address inputs (A0-A3), and the switch is bidirectional, allowing signals to flow in either direction.
Each channel is a CMOS transmission gate with low on-resistance and minimal signal distortion. The CD4067 can handle both analog and digital signals, with a voltage range from VEE to VDD. An enable input places all switches in a high-impedance state for bus applications. Typical applications include data acquisition systems, signal routing, audio switching, and analog-to-digital conversion front-ends.
