The CD4069 is a hex inverter from the 40xx series CMOS logic family. This device contains six independent inverting buffers, each producing an output that is the logical complement of its input. The CD4069 is a fundamental building block for digital logic systems, used for signal inversion and as a basic component in oscillator and waveform shaping circuits.
Each inverter implements the Boolean function Y = NOT(A). With its wide operating voltage range and low power consumption, the CD4069 is suitable for both battery-operated and line-powered applications. The six independent inverters can be used separately or combined to implement more complex logic functions.
