Description
The CD4514 is a 4-bit latch with a 4-to-16 line decoder from the 40xx-series CMOS family. This device latches the 4-bit address input and decodes it to activate one of 16 outputs. The outputs are non-inverting (active-high), making this device suitable for active-high selection schemes in digital systems.
Operating from 3V to 18V, the CD4514 includes a strobe (latch enable) input that controls data capture from the address inputs. An output enable input allows the decoder outputs to be forced low (inactive) regardless of the input conditions, providing bus isolation and control. The 24-pin DIP package is standard for 16-output decoding functions.
