Hall-effect sensors for detecting magnetic fields, useful for speed sensing, position detection, and proximity switching.
Hall Sensor
A Hall-effect sensor detects the presence and strength of a nearby magnetic field without any physical contact, making it a reliable way to sense rotation speed (by counting magnet passes on a spinning wheel), detect a door or lid's open/closed position, or build contactless proximity switches that don't wear out like a mechanical switch would.
