Description
The 2N1893 is a silicon planar epitaxial NPN transistor in a hermetic TO-39 metal case, designed for high-performance amplifier, oscillator, and switching circuits. Its standout figure is a 120V collector-base voltage rating, giving it greater voltage swing headroom in oscillator and amplifier circuits and more protection in inductive switching circuits than typical low-voltage parts.
With an 80V collector-emitter rating (100V under VCER test conditions) and 500mA collector current, it’s built for small-signal general-purpose and switching applications where extra voltage margin matters, such as flyback and inductive-load switching.
