Description

The 2N5306 is an NPN Darlington transistor in a TO-92 package, designed for applications requiring extremely high current gain at collector currents to 1.2A. Its internal two-transistor cascade drives hFE figures into the tens of thousands, letting a very small base current fully saturate a much larger load current.

This makes it a strong fit for relay, solenoid, and small-motor drivers that need to be switched directly from microcontroller or logic-level outputs without an intermediate driver transistor.
