Description
This IC Socket is a 14-pin DIP (Dual In-Line Package) socket base, letting a 14-pin DIP IC be inserted and removed without soldering the chip directly to a board — useful for prototyping, chip replacement, and programmable IC applications.
It mounts via through-hole soldering at the standard 2.54mm (0.1″) pin pitch with 7.62mm (0.3″) row spacing, matching standard DIP-14 footprint dimensions. Contacts are typically phosphor bronze leaf-spring or turned-pin type, plated in tin or gold flash depending on the model.
Built with a PBT/PA66 nylon insulator body carrying a UL94V-0 flammability rating, the socket operates across -40°C to +105°C, suited to both hobbyist prototyping and more demanding production environments.
