ESP32-CAM-MB MICRO USB Download Module for ESP32 CAM

The ESP32-CAM module famously has no onboard USB port, which keeps its price and board size down but means it can’t be programmed or powered directly from a computer without extra hardware – that’s exactly what the ESP32-CAM-MB solves. It’s a small USB-to-serial adapter board with a Micro USB connector that plugs into the ESP32-CAM’s pin header, providing both the serial connection needed to upload code via the Arduino IDE and a stable 5V power supply, all from a single USB cable.

It also handles the reset and download-mode control needed to put the ESP32-CAM into flashing mode for uploads, removing the need to manually jumper GPIO0 to GND during every upload – a step that trips up many people the first time they try to program a bare ESP32-CAM without a proper download board.
