OV7670 VGA CMOS Camera Module – 640×480 Resolution

The OV7670 Camera Module is a low-cost, high-performance CMOS image sensor capable of capturing real-time images and video at 640×480 (VGA) resolution. It’s perfect for embedded vision applications, hobbyist projects, and microcontroller integration, especially with Arduino, STM32, and FPGA platforms.

Parallel-bus camera - needs a lot of I/O pins and enough RAM to hold a frame, so this only realistically fits boards with an FIFO-buffered breakout, or ESP32 (hardware DVP camera interface support) / Raspberry Pi Pico (via PIO). Plain AVR Arduino Uno/Nano/Mega, ESP8266, and typical STM32 boards don't have enough RAM or the right peripheral to run this directly.
