Description

The CNC V3 Shield is an expansion board that stacks directly onto an Arduino UNO to add stepper-motor driving capability, turning the UNO into the control core for CNC machines, laser engravers, 3D printers, and other motion-controlled builds. Instead of wiring stepper drivers to the UNO by hand, the shield provides ready sockets and signal routing for up to four stepper driver modules.

It accepts plug-in driver modules such as the A4988 or DRV8825, letting the builder choose the driver based on the current rating and microstepping resolution their motors need, without changing the shield itself.

The shield is designed for compatibility with GRBL firmware, the widely used open-source CNC motion-control firmware, so builders can flash GRBL onto the Arduino UNO underneath and drive the shield using standard G-code senders.
