Description
This SCR Dimmer is an AC light dimmer module rated for up to 2000W, using phase angle (leading-edge) control via an SCR/TRIAC component to vary the effective power delivered to a connected AC load.
It operates on 220–240VAC at 50/60Hz, with a theoretical maximum rated current of 9A at 220V, and is manually adjusted via a rotary potentiometer for dimming level. It’s designed for resistive loads such as incandescent lamps and AC heaters, and is not recommended for LED drivers, CFLs, or SMPS-based loads, which may flicker under phase-angle dimming.
Wiring connects via AC input (L/N) and AC output (L/N) terminals, with an aluminum heatsink required or built-in depending on the model, and fuse/overheat protection on some variants. It operates across -20°C to +60°C.
